Metro Atlanta has become one of the most sprawled cities in the United States due to population and real estate booms over the last 25 years. In that boom time, government agencies have struggled to build and upgrade the area’s infrastructure to match the demand. Traffic, water shortages and poor air quality have had a strong effect on the quality of life in the metro area. However where there are problems, there are also great opportunities. Since thousands of Atlantans are looking for infrastructure related jobs funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
